The Leve Project will be sponsoring it’s first Back to School Book Bag Drive for local students of Haitian migrants and other minority families in the Union NJ area. We are currently accepting physical and monetary donations to purchase supplies.

Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm

$250 - School Fees
This school fee is the cost of attendance annually for high school and pays for teacher’s salaries, teaching materials, building costs and maintenance, required exams.
$20 - School Shoes
Students will preserve the same shoes for many years so that they can attend school, but often times wear and tear tell the true story of a family’s finances. This donation helps provide new shoes that fit properly.
$100 - Business Program
This donation supports program materials, required readings, school supplies, access to guest speakers and two meals a day for participants.
$10 - Textbooks
Textbooks are important for students to do homework and also form as a teaching aid when teachers are unavailable. Schools will purchase one textbook and enough copies for enrolled students.
$50 - School Uniform
A school uniform is a requirement for all students in Haiti. Many students will hold on to the same uniform until they outgrow it. This donation goes towards new uniforms.
$5 - Lunch for a week
Schools in Haiti typically cannot afford to feed students. With this donation, we can pay local resources to provide at least a snack or small meal for students to eat before heading home.
